Hi all!!!

Here are a the first images for my long term project idea, which I hope to have completed by the end of the year (2012).

I aim to produce a selection of images from Bath, UK, and will create a (maybe free) downloadable photo book / magazine PDF of these, as a gift for visitors to my site, plus an identical physical version available for purchase online. This will be a test project, so I can gauge reactions to the publication, and may pave the way for future photo locations around the UK if it proves to be popular. These locations will either be chosen by myself, or suggested by readers.

The overall purpose is to create a body of work which accurately represents a given city/town in the way I see it, hopefully proving to be enjoyable for readers by stimulating their memories of the place, or to shed new light (‘scuse the pun!) on somewhere that may already be very familiar to them. So I’m not necessarily shooting images here that will be blue skies and squeaky clean streets. I’m not shooting to attract visitors to the most visited areas – shots will be more honest in their portrayal and I will simply use any images that I am compelled to shoot, whether flattering or otherwise!

I’ll chose a few of the images below to keep for the project, and will add to these next time I venture out into Bath for a new shoot. Hopefully the collection will eventually grow into something useable! Feel free to say which one’s you’d keep! I’ve fancied working on something long- term like this for a while now, and I’m pleased to be starting in the New Year, it will be fun…..and has a purpose!
